Hi, I’m AMANDA blevins.

My journey in wine began in my twenties, while working at a wine retail store. People in the wine world often remember when they “caught the wine bug.” During those years, I had great wine mentors to guide me and was truly intrigued. My interest grew, and I continued my pursuit working at a winery in Grapevine, Texas. Life took some twists and turns, I started a family and put my wine career on pause. Years later, I re-engaged in the wine world as a marketer of organic and biodynamic wine.

As a marketer, I began presenting more private tastings and fell back in love with the connection wine brings. I pursued my higher level sommelier credentials through the WSET (Wine Spirits Education Trust), based in London, with support from Napa Valley Wine Academy. I currently hold a WSET Level 3 award in wines. After attaining my wine awards, I achieved an award in Spirits as well through WSET. Since gaining these credentials, I love to share my passion for wine knowledge through private events. As a mom of teenage boys, I’m affectionally referred to as a “mom somm.” There is always something new to discover in wine, and I consider it a wonderful life-long journey.

My Approach

I enjoy personalizing each wine tasting. I propose various themes, such as Old World vs. New World Reds, a Passport Tasting with wines from around the world or focus on a specific country, such as Italy. Tastings can be as casual as a Pink Party with rosé by the pool, or as formal as a black and white dinner with luxe Silverado Trail, Napa selections. I’m here to make your event personal and memorable

Every bottle has a story

I feel understanding the growers, wine makers and regions behind each wine, lead to better enjoyment of each glass. In my guided tastings, I educate on the terroir, soil, climate, passion and process that makes each wine unique.

Sip with confidence

Enjoying wine is truly a mindful, sensory experience. I guide guests in the tasting process, to fully appreciate all facets of the wine from aromas, body, tannins and finish.
